This year, we bring you the 15th edition of Sustainable Brand Index™ – Europe’s largest independent brand study on sustainability.

Sustainable Brand Index™ measures consumers’ sustainability perception of brands, industries and society and has been conducted annually by SB Insight since 2011 in the Nordics, the Netherlands, and the Baltics.

The study comprises 1600 brands within 36 industries, and 80.000 respondents are interviewed. Over the years, we have performed more than 600.000 interviews and collected over 50 million brand assessments.

Why Sustainable Brand Index™?

We at SB Insight want to drive the sustainability agenda by visualising the value of sustainable branding to increase the knowledge of and demand for sustainability among consumers and other stakeholders. The intention is to create a positive cycle for transparent, sincere communication and long-term brand trust.

We release an annual official ranking based on this year’s data to showcase the various sustainability insights our study can produce. This means that brands and their industries included in this official report are also a part of our vast database of consumer insights, enabling brands to track and deep dive into their sustainability impact over time.
